Mistra Indigo report receives large attention from US negotiators at COP18 in Doha

The Mistra Indigo White Paper U.S Status on Climate Change Mitigation has been cited at the COP18 meetings in Doha by both Deputy Special Envoy for Climate Change Jonathan Pershing and U.S. Special Envoy Todd Stern. 

In his opening press conference  External link, opens in new window.on November 26 Jonathan Pershing stated that U.S. energy sector emissions are already at 8.8 percent below 2005 levels, numbers that come from the Mistra Indigo/RFF report.

In addition, Todd Stern defended the attainability of the 17 percent target for the U.S in his press briefing on December 3, External link, opens in new window.  by citing the report.

The report has also been cited in several blogs External link, opens in new window. and is now planned to be developed into an article during 2013.
