Market mechanisms in the 2015 agreement – what might the outcome mean?

The Mistra Indigo program, togehter with CEPS are proud to invite participants at COP Paris to take part of a side-event focusing on the carbon market and the direction the it might take after COP.

Date: December 1st

Time: 11:30-13:00

Location: COP21 Conference Center (Blue Zone), Observer Room 02, Le Bourget, Paris. 

This event will discuss the direction carbon markets might take after the 2015 Agreement and how the Agreement will be translated into further actions. The event focuses on the stage in which market provisions are at the beginning of the COP21 and where they could be in 2 weeks’ time.

The two initial presentations will be followed by a panel discussion giving each panelist time to present their views, followed by reactions from presenters, and Q&A session.

    The two presentations will build on the negotiating text and on the market provisions present in the text. Presenters will discuss the various pathways to which the Paris Agreement could lead to, speculating with different options.
